Cookie policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

This policy explains how Orbelune uses cookies and similar technologies (browser local storage) on the website orbelune-astro.com, in accordance with Article 82 of the French “Informatique et Libertés” law and with the CNIL’s guidelines and recommendation.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. It allows the website to recognise your device and to store certain information. Local storage (“localStorage”) is a similar technology, which stores information directly in your browser.

2. The trackers we use

2.1 Strictly necessary trackers

These trackers are essential for the Site to work or to provide the service you have expressly requested. They are exempt from consent and cannot be turned off from our management tool.

2.2 Audience measurement

We use Vercel Web Analytics to find out how many people visit the Site and to improve our pages. This tool sets no cookies, reads no information from your device and uses no persistent identifier: it is used solely to produce aggregated, anonymous statistics, without tracking you from one website to another. In accordance with the CNIL’s guidelines on exempt audience measurement, it is active by default and you can object to it at any time (see section 4).

2.3 No advertising cookies

Orbelune uses no advertising cookies, no social network trackers and no targeting tools. No data is sold on to third parties.

4. Your consent

On your first visit, a banner informs you about audience measurement and allows you to accept or refuse it. Refusing is as easy as accepting: both buttons are given equal prominence. If you refuse, no more visitor statistics are sent from your browser. The Site uses no trackers that require consent.

Your choice is kept for 6 months, in accordance with the CNIL’s recommendation. After that period, you will be asked again.

You can change your choice at any time using the “Manage cookies” link in the footer of every page of the Site. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

5. Configuring your browser

You can also set your browser to block or delete cookies. Please note: blocking strictly necessary trackers may prevent you from logging in to your member area. Instructions are available in your browser’s help pages (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
